Brent Willett, CEcD

I'm trying to do things differently in economic development and am fortunate to have a place to try that out in serving as Executive Director of Iowa’s Cultivation Corridor, a cluster-based regional economic development and innovation acceleration organization focused on growing Central Iowa’s agriculture and bioscience sectors.  The Corridor has offices in Ames and Des Moines, Iowa.

I've had a rewarding career in economic and community development during which I've been privileged to manage organizations which have facilitated the creation and retention of more than 2,500 jobs and more than $1.9 billion in capital investment.  For more on me professionally, check out my resume and bio.

What else?  I'm a lifelong Iowan immeasurably proud of my state.  Davenport-raised, University of Iowa-schooled, jobs in Des Moines, Fairfield, Mason City/Clear Lake and Des Moines [again]/Ames.  I have a wife and daughter who make me look better than I deserve. Free time is equal parts running, reading and the Chicago Cubs.  I like to track everything.  Here's an example.
